Hola guys! We are here with the good news for the Blackberry lovers. Blackberry, just a few hours ago, announced the launch of its first Android smartphone in India, named as Blackberry Priv for a price tag of Rs. 62,990. This is the first ever most secured Android smartphone from Blackberry.
Apart from the hardware and software specs mentioned below, the company has added an extra layer of security which would give all the expats, CEO’s and bureaucrats a sigh of relief in regard to the security. This extra layer introduces Blackberry DTEK, which scans every app and the permissions it is taking from the users. This will also prohibit users from installing third party launchers or apps from unverified sources among other features.
The device comes with a sliding keyboard that offers the same usage as the virtual keyboard in the other blackberry devices. The OS as mentioned by the Damien Tay, product manager is really close to the pure Android however it still offers on demand widgets and add-ons as well as gesture controls. The company officials have a high hope from this smartphone since most of the Android users are suffering from the Smartphone fatigue, which is because of the designs on the similar lines and almost same spec sheet that the devices in a segment have to offer, so Priv is going to offer something fresh and rejuvenating to the customers.
The device would be available to the consumers without any invites from Amazon and on all the offline retail stores starting from January 30, 2016. The device went on sale in US and Canada in December after pre-orders starting from October last year.
